Man United confident of keeping PSG & Arsenal target Ander Herrera

Herrera’s contract situation

Ander Herrera’s current Manchester United contract runs out in July of 2019.

As a result, the Spaniard has been linked with a number of clubs.

The two sides at the forefront of the Herrera hunt appear to be Arsenal and Ligue 1 giants, PSG.

Herrera himself has recently spoken out about his contract and being linked with other clubs.

Although, it doesn’t really seem like he has much incline into what United are planning for him:

β€œI do not go crazy with what will happen in four months, so I do not know if my stage (at Man United) is over.

β€œI enjoy being at the biggest club in England, the fans love me, they have treated me phenomenally and my duty is to listen to them, although I honestly do not know what is going to happen.”As quoted by El Periodico.

Man United to keep hold of Herrera

Despite all of the uncertainty surrounding Herrera’s future at Old Trafford, the Metro are reporting that United are confident of keeping hold of the 29-year-old.

Herrera has made 25 appearances across all competitions this season for United, scoring two and assisting three.

The midfielder has also begun to feature a lot more under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who the Metro claim wants to keep him around.

The report from the Metro also suggests that United have offered Herrera a new deal that could see his salary rise to Β£170,000-a-week.

He currently is believed to earn around Β£100,000-a-week.

Manchester United & Barcelona ‘join transfer race’ for Hudson-Odoi

Summer transfer battle incoming

Manchester United and Barcelona have reportedly joined the race to sign Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi after his impressive displays this season.

Hudson-Odoi has made waves in European football this campaign.

The 18-year-old continues to go from strength to strength after bursting onto the scene with Chelsea.

Though, Hudson-Odoi has rarely been used in the Premier League.

Instead, he’s predominantly featured in the Europa League.

The Englishman has scored four goals and assisted two during his eight appearances in Europe.

Despite that, Hudson-Odoi is still very much considered to be a squad player.

That lack of first-team chances left Hudson-Odoi wanting to leave the club in January.

Bayern Munich came calling but despite several bids and a transfer request, Chelsea stood very firm on their stance that their talented youngster is not for sale.

However, it looks as though there will be movement for Hudson-Odoi in the summer window and two new clubs have joined the race to sign him.

Where will Hudson-Odoi be next season?

After his impressive performances with the England senior team this week, Manchester United and Barcelona are now said to have joined the race to sign him.

That is according to the Mirror.

They claim his performances showed β€˜he is not just an exciting prospect for the future but ready to make an impact at the top level now.’

They say Chelsea’s determination to keep him β€˜is set to be even stronger in the summer’.

However, how many minutes he gets on the pitch before the end of the season will β€˜be key’ as to whether he pushes for a move or not.

Safe to say, Sarri needs to find a place for him in his side and soon.

Madrid eyeing Ndombele

Since Zinedine Zidane took over at the Bernabeu for a second time, a host of players have been linked with a Real Madrid move.

Some of the more notable names include Man United’s Paul Pogba, Liverpool’s Sadio Mane and Tottenham midfielder, Christian Eriksen.

Real have also already completed the signing of FC Porto defender, Eder Militao.

The latest name to be linked with a switch to the Spanish capital is Lyon Midfielder, Tanguy Ndombele.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Zidane is very keen to bring the Frenchman to Los Blancos.

Man City also keen on Lyon star

Real Madrid may, however, face some stiff competition for the Ligue 1 midfielder.

While Madrid’s links to Ndombele are relatively fresh, Premier League outfit Manchester City have been linked with him for some time.

Ndombele is just 22 years of age but he is already a mainstay in the Lyon midfield.

He has made 86 appearances for Lyon across all competitions, scoring eight and assisting 15.

Ndombele would also be the perfect replacement for Man City’s current main holding midfielder, Fernandinho.

The Brazilian is 33 years of age and will likely leave Man City in the coming seasons.

As well as Ndombele, City have also recently been linked with Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey as they continue their search for a Fernandinho replacement.

Harry Kane reveals shock desire to play in the NFL

Change of career for Harry Kane in the future?

That is because in an interview with ESPN this week, Kane has revealed he wants to play in the NFL.

The Spurs striker even put a timescale on it, claiming he wants to try it in 10 or 12 years time.

Should it be the former, that would make him 35 and could potentially lead him to quit football to chase his desire if his career spans that long.

β€œThat’s real,” Kane explained when asked about a desire to play in the NFL.

β€œSomething that in 10 or 12 years I definitely want to try.

β€œIt goes back to that drive to be the best.

β€œEven if I download a game on my phone, can I be the best in the world?

β€œIf you play in the Premier League and the World Cup and you then play in theΒ NFL, would you then be considered one of the greatest sportsmen ever?”

Jose Mourinho on returning to management & Klopp/Pochettino dig

Mourinho takes aim at Klopp & Pochettino

Jose Mourinho was sacked as Manchester United boss in December of last year.

Mourinho’s spell at Old Trafford was arguably the poorest in his managerial career.

Despite this, Mourinho still guided United to a Europe League win, League Cup win and Community Shield win.

Even though he lifted three trophies at United, Mourinho was often criticised.

However, the likes of Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino are often praised for the job they do at Liverpool and Tottenham despite not winning any silverware.

As a result, Mourinho appears to have taken a dig at the duo:

Β β€œI won titles everywhere I have been and I cannot run away from my mentality.

β€œSome coaches like to sell the idea of a philosophy, but you have to sell the philosophy after you win. If you win nothing what is the point?

β€œIf your team plays very well, your team wins, so I don’t like these contradictions we have in football nowadays.”As quoted by the Evening Standard.

Mourinho eyeing managerial return

In the same interview, Mourinho spoke at length about when he wants to return to management.

The former United coach was linked with the Real Madrid job recently but Zinedine Zidane has since taken that.

Mourinho claims he has had β€˜three or four’ different offers already, which he has rejected and he wants to be back in management by June of this year:

β€œWhat I have in mind is that I would like to be back in June for a new club and a new pre-season.

β€œI know what I don’t want and that is the reason why I have had to say no to three or four different offers.” As quoted by the Evening Standard.

One of those offers is believed to be from Benfica.
