CAS tolak rayuan Zulfadli dan Chun Seang

KUALA LUMPUR: Mahkamah Timbang Tara Sukan (CAS) telah menolak rayuan dua pemain profesional negara, Zulfadli Zukifli dan Tan Chun Seang terhadap hukuman dikenakan oleh Panel Pendengaran Etika BWF tahun lalu atas kesalahan mengatur perlawanan, pertaruhan dan menentukan keputusan.

Persekutuan Badminton Dunia (BWF), dalam kenyataan pada Isnin, mengesahkan rayuan yang dikemukakan oleh pemain berkenaan bagi mencabar keputusan panel tersebut ditolak oleh CAS, sekali gus mengekalkan hukuman yang dikenakan ke atas pemain berkenaan.

“BWF berpuas hati bahawa CAS membuat kesimpulan sama dengan Panel Pendengaran Etika BWF berhubung keputusan yang dibuat,” menurut kenyataan itu.

Pada April 27 tahun lalu, Zulfadli dan Chun Seang digantung daripada menyertai sebarang pertandingan, selama 20 dan 15 tahun kerana melanggar Kod Tatatertib BWF membabitkan aktiviti mengatur perlawanan, pertaruhan dan menentukan keputusan perlawanan.

Panel pendengaran itu juga mengenakan denda sebanyak US$25,000 (RM102,596) kepada Zulfadli manakala Chun Seang didenda US$15,000 (RM61,558).

Sepanjang tempoh itu, mereka juga dilarang menyertai sebarang aktiviti membabitkan sukan badminton termasuk bahagian pengurusan, kejurulatihan, pengadilan atau pembangunan.

Menurut laporan penuh tiga ahli bebas yang dilantik BWF untuk mengadili sesi pendengaran di Singapura pada Februari tahun lalu,  kedua-duanya terbabit mengatur perlawanan dalam enam kejohanan iaitu Grand Prix Emas Terbuka London 2013, GP Terbuka Belanda 2013, GP Emas Terbuka Korea, GP Terbuka Macau 2014, GP Terbuka Amerika Syarikat 2014 dan GP Emas Terbuka Brazil 2016.

Laporan itu juga menyebut Zulfadli terbabit dengan 27 pelanggaran Kod Tatatertib 2012 dan empat Kod Tatatertib 2016 pertaruhan dan mengatur perlawanan manakala Chun Seang pula didapati terbabit dalam 26 pelanggaran Kod Tatatertib 2012.

Penggantungan bermula dari 12 Januari tahun ini iaitu tarikh di mana kedua-dua pemain dikenakan penggantungan sementara oleh BWF.

Insigne Akan Selalu Anggap Sarri sebagai Pengkhianat

NAPLES – Bergabungnya Maurizio Sarri sebagai pelatih Juventus membuat banyak pihak menuding pria berpaspor Italia itu sebagai seorang pengkhianat. Tak terkecuali bagi pemain bintang Napoli, Lorenzo Insigne, yang mengaku akan selalu mengecap Sarri sebagai pengkhianat.

Sebagaimana diketahui, Sarri merupakan mantan pelatih Napoli. Bahkan bisa dibilang kalau Napoli adalah klub yang membuat nama Sarri melambung sampai akhirnya ia kemudian direkrut oleh Chelsea pada musim panas 2018.

Sarri sendiri sebenarnya telah menjadi sosok yang dielu-elukan dan dicintai oleh para fans Napoli dan masyarakat Kota Naples –Neapolitan. Karena bersama Sarri, Napoli menjelma menjadi tim yang sangat kompetitif, yang mampu menyaingi Juve dalam perebutan gelar juara Liga Italia. Itulah mengapa, ketika kini Sarri justru melatih Juve, banyak Neapolitan yang mengecapnya sebagai seorang pengkhianat.

“Saya mengatakannya dan saya mengatakannya lagi, bagi kami orang-orang Neapolitan, itu adalah pengkhianatan. Sekarang kami harus fokus pada diri kami sendiri dan berusaha untuk mengalahkannya. Everton sign Fabian Delph from Manchester City

Everton have tonight confirmed the signature of out-of-favour Manchester City man Fabian Delph.

Versatile 29-year-old Delph had been on the books of Premier League champions City since the summer of 2015, when he made the move to the Etihad from Aston Villa.

The years since, though, had seen the Leeds United youth product’s game-time largely fluctuate, amid a number of lengthy injury problems.

The 2017/18 campaign proved the English international’s most productive with the Sky Blues, as Delph racked up 21 Premier League starts, en route to the English top-flight title.

This past season, however, saw the 29-year-old, who was generally deployed at left-back by Pep Guardiola, notch just 8 league starts.

Everton switch

As such, amid claims that City expect Benjamin Mendy to return to play a prominent role next season, and the faith showcased by the Citizens in Oleksandr Zinchenko based on the youngster’s new long-term contract, Delph had long looked set to be the odd man out at the Etihad next season.

This subsequently led to suggestions that City were ready to part with the versatile midfielder this summer, for the right price.

Everton, meanwhile, emerged as the clear frontrunners to secure his signature last week.

And, as per the aforementioned announcement across the Toffees’ social media platforms, Delph’s move to Goodison Park has come to fruition tonight:

City, meanwhile, have since wished their now-former star the best of luck with their Premier League rivals:

Delph has put pen-to-paper on a 3-year deal with Everton.

And, though no official word has been forthcoming on the fee involved, the BBC suggest that the Merseysiders have splashed out around £10 million on the 29-year-old’s signature.

‘Really happy to be here’

Speaking in an interview with Evertontv on the back of his move being made official, Delph explained:

‘Every time I have played against Everton, whether it was home or away, straight away the first thing that comes to mind when you see the fans is passion. The Everton fans seem to know football, seem to understand it, it seems to be in their blood and they really back the team.’

‘You are always going to hear Evertonians and I’m excited to play at home and hear them when I am playing.’

‘I’m really happy to be here. I’m going to give absolutely everything – nothing less than 100 per cent.’

‘Hopefully we can push together, fans and players, to do something special.’

拜仁慕尼黑CEO鲁梅尼格今天在美国再次被问及转会传闻的有关话题。

在接受采访的时候，鲁梅尼格说道：“我无法保证任何事情，但我们会有一支强队的。”

关于记者对会补强哪个位置的追问，鲁梅尼格表示：“我们还需要一个边锋，不过从数量上来说，我们还需要再多一个。”

Djokovic tewaskan Federer, pertahan kejuaraan Wimbledon

NOVAK Djokovic berjaya mempertahankan kejuaraan tenis Wimbledon yang disandangnya selepas menewaskan Roger Federer dalam aksi final pada Ahad.

Pemain nombor satu dunia dari Serbia itu menundukkan Federer menerusi keputusan 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 4-6, 13-12 (7-3).

Perlawanan antara kedua-dua jaguh handalan itu berlangsung sengit pada set akhir, hinggalah Djokovic berjaya memecahkan ‘tie break’ dan muncul sebagai pemenang.

Djokovic mara ke final susulan kemenangannya ke atas Roberto Bautista Agut dari Sepanyol, 6−2, 4−6, 6−3, 6−2 pada Jumaat.

Ini merupakan kejuaraan Wimbledon yang kelima untuk Djokovic dan yang kedua berturut-turut untuknya.

Perlawanan di antara Djokovic dengan Federer ini juga direkod sebagai perlawanan final Wimbledon paling lama dalam sejarah pada 4 jam 57 minit.

Griezmann: Messi Legenda Layaknya LeBron James

BARCELONA – Rekrutan anyar Barcelona, Antoine Griezmann, melontarkan pujian setinggi langit kepada Lionel Messi. Baginya, Messi adalah seorang legenda di sepakbola sehingga bermain bersamanya akan menjadi hal yang sangat membanggakan. Sosok pemain berjuluk La Pulga itu pun disandingkan dengan legenda di olahraga basket, LeBron James.

Griezmann memang telah dipastikan bakal bekerja sama dengan Messi di Barcelona mulai musim depan. Sebab, Barcelona telah resmi memboyongnya ke Camp Nou pada Jumat 12 Juli 2019. Ia direkrut Barcelona dari Atletico Madrid dengan mahar sebesar 120 juta euro atau sekira Rp1,8 triliun.

Kedatangan Griezmann tentu saja menjadi kabar yang menggembirakan. Sebab, Barcelona sendiri diketahui sudah menaruh hati kepada pemain berpaspor Prancis itu sejak musim lalu. Tetapi, Griezmann menolak tawaran Barcelona kala itu dan memilih tetap bersama Atletico.

West Ham miss out on Maxi Gomez, three players they can sign instead

With the 2018/19 Premier League season less than a month away, West Ham are rather short staffed in the striker department.

Lucas Perez has been sold to Spanish outfit Alaves while Andy Carroll was released on a free transfer.

West Ham would then announce that they had sold Marko Arnautovic to Shanghai SIPG

Arnautovic had reportedly previously handed in a transfer request back in January amid an offer from China and now he looks to have finally got his wish.

Whether West Ham fans liked Arnautovic and his attitude or not, the Austrian was till a key member of their squad.

The 30-year-old was their top scorer this past season netting 11 and assisting four in 30 games across all competitions.

But with three of their first-team strikers having already departed this summer, Manuel Pellegrini’s side should really be looking at signing a new forward before the forthcoming season.

Maxi Gomez joins Valencia

West Ham United did look to be in the market for Spanish forward Maxi Gomez.

It had been reported that Gomez would join West Ham for a fee of around £45m, snubbing Valencia in the process.

The 22-year-old looks to have bags of potential and despite playing for relegation battling Celta Vigo, Gomez netted 13 and assisted five in 35 La Liga outings last campaign.

However, on Sunday the 14th of July, Valencia would officially announce they had signed Gomez from Celta Vigo.

After missing out on Gomez, West Ham need to act fast if they want to sign a new forward before the PL season starts, here are three potential options.

Sebastien Haller

The first striker West Ham could target this summer is Eintracht Frankfurt forward, Sebastien Haller.

Haller was somewhat overlooked this past season due to the fact he was playing alongside now Real Madrid forward, Luka Jovic.

However, Haller himself had a very impressive 2018/19 campaign.

The 25-year-old would score 15 and assist nine in 29 Bundesliga outings last season.

Haller also impressed for Frankfurt in the Europe League, netting five and assisting three in 10 appearances.

The Frenchman has also already been linked with a move to West Ham with Sky Sports claiming Haller is rated at £40m.

Gonzalo Higuain

Like Haller, the next player West Ham could sign has also already been linked with a move to the club.

Gonzalo Higuain has previously spent some time in England, playing the second half of last season on loan at Chelsea.

While the Argentine didn’t have the greatest time at Stamford Bridge, Higuain still scored five in 14 PL games.

Higuain has also proven for Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus that he can be a top quality goal scorer if he is on form.

The Hammers may have one problem when trying to sign Higuain though as the 31-year-old is said to be keen to stay at Juventus.

Salomon Rondon

Finally, West Ham could attempt to sign Salomon Rondon in a bid to bolster their attacking options.

Rondon is currently a West Brom player but spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Newcastle United.

In a rather defensive minded Newcastle team, Rondon would manage a very respectable 11 goals and seven assists in 32 league outings.

Rondon has the most Premier League experience of the above mentioned players, playing 140 PL fixtures for West Brom and Newcastle.

Furthermore, while West Brom may wish to keep hold of a player as talented as Rondon, they failed to regain promotion to the English top-flight this past season, losing to Derby in the Championship play-off semi-finals.

West Ham may, however, face some competition from Rafa Benitez as The Times have reported he is keen to bring the striker to his new club in China.

Sempat Tolak Tawaran Barcelona, Ini Alasan Griezmann

BARCELONA – Antoine Griezmann akhirnya berlabuh ke Barcelona setelah melewati drama yang panjang. Sebelum akhirnya resmi diperkenalkan jadi milik Barcelona pada Jumat 12 Juli 2019, Griezmann diketahui pernah menolak tawaran dari tim asuhan Ernesto Valverde itu pada musim lalu. Ia pun membeberkan alasan atas tindakannya tersebut.

Griezmann mengatakan terpaksa menolak tawaran Barcelona pada musim panas 2018 lantaran mempertimbangkan beberapa hal. Salah satunya adalah keluarga. Ia mengaku sempat ragu untuk memindahkan keluarga dari Madrid ke Barcelona.

Selain itu, hal lainnya yang membuat langkahnya terganjal untuk bergabung ke Barcelona adalah peran teman-teman di Atletico yang telah membuatnya begitu nyaman. Karena hal-hal inilah, pemain berkebangsaan Prancis itu memutuskan untuk tetap di Atletico dan meneken perpanjangan kontrak di Atletico selama lima tahun.

Antoine Griezmann resmi merapat ke Barcelona

Tetapi, 13 bulan kemudian, Griezmann mengubah pemikirannya. Ia mengaku memberanikan diri untuk keluar dari zona nyamannya di Atletico karena ingin mengembangkan kariernya di sepakbola. Dengan bergabung ke tim asuhan Ernesto Valverde itu, ia yakin bisa mengukir prestasi gemilang. Tiga gelar juara pun jadi targetnya saat ini, yakni Liga Spanyol, Liga Champions, dan Copa Del Rey.
