Tottenham fans plead with Eriksen to stay after winner vs Brighton

Tottenham 1-Brighton 0

Tottenham hosted Brighton on Tuesday as they looked to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat to Man City.

Spurs defeat to City could have been disasters for their Champions League hopes.

However, Manchester United and Arsenal also lost this past weekend while Chelsea drew with Burnley.

As a result, Tottenham remained in 3rd place, one point above 5th place Arsenal.

But with the gap between the UCL and Europa League so tight, Mauricio Pochettino’s side really needed a win vs relegation battling Brighton.

Brighton, on the other hand, started the day in 17th place, three points above the relegation zone.
